MEDIATION
The mediator will not force you to reach an agreement. Whether you decide to resolve your dispute, and how you resolve it, is up to the 2 of you. And if you cannot settle, you can still go in front of a judge to decide. There is nothing to lose by trying mediation, and there is a lot to gain.

Even if disputants do not resolve the dispute, mediation frequently will “bring out” the real issues and enhance communications between the parties, fostering an improved working relationship.
SUCCESS RATE OF MEDIATION
Parties that mediate are solution focused not problem focused. Around 77-94% of cases settle on the day of the mediation itself and another 6-23% settle shortly after. Mediation has an extremely high success rate with 89% of all cases being settled. The process allows the parties to negotiate their own settlement, giving them control of the entire process.
What types of cases are mediated
Mediation is available in most non-criminal cases. Notwithstanding, some non-violent criminal cases, similar to those including verbal badgering, often bring about a fruitful resolution during mediation. Matters that don’t include a lawful or legal issue are also acceptable candidates for mediation.
BENEFITS OF MEDIATION
It involves appointing a mediator, who is an independent and impartial third person, to help the parties talk through the issues, negotiate, and come to a mutually agreeable solution.
